Ministry Overview Ghana is a small country in West Africa about the size of Oregon with a population of 20 million. It is considered a third-world country and is one of the only stable democracies in its region. 63% of Ghanaians consider themselves Christians. (21% native religions, 16% Muslim) Goal: To reach the lost in the Agona region of Ghana by supporting the development of spiritually and financially independent congregations. History - Tabernacle has been involved in Ghana since 1990. That year we began supporting Lawrence Odoom and his family at the Takoradi Church of Christ. Five years later he moved to the city of Agona Swedru (population 50,000) where he works today. Since that time our work has grown to four families - all working close to one another in the Agona area of Ghana. Altogether, our Ghana mission work serves more than a thousand Christians and is growing every day.
